Girls Fiction. One of the popular Wells books. A reprint of the first edition in 1950. This is the one where Veronica gets into the Wells. This a nice reading copy rather than a collectors. The hardback is blue boards , faded and with old marks. The inside pages are clean. Some of the black and white drawings have been coloured in - and I have to say (even if it was my daughter) that this does not detract from the drawings, tho' the end papers are not quite so careful. f83

f71 Another in the 'Marjorie' books by the author of 'The Wells' books. Some of the same characters are in this. A nice clean sound copy. Good Green Boards. The dustwrapper is almost complete, slight loss at tail of spine. Some chips. Three sellotape scars inside the cover and one on the back. A girl rider jumping a wall and a peel tower in the background.. A coloured frontis, and black and white illustrations through the book.

A coloured frontispiece and several black and white. Two of them have been tinted in quite beautifully. Pages are clean and very lightly tanning. A map of sky as the end papers.

(Yes she was reprimanded, but they are beautifully done) Two neat names inside. A nice comfortable, well loved book. f83

An enthusiatic Aunty Kitty dedicated it to her niece, on the title page, at Xmas 1958 Protected in a plastic cover
