Hard Cover Fair Fair H M BATEMAN f57 The origin, History and achievements of the Limerick, with about 350 selected examples. By such as Woodrow Wilson,W S Gilbert, Arnold Bennet and several Reverends who appear to be particularly adept. The Bateman cartoons exceptionally suited to the form. There are some limericks neatly written in pencil in the back and elsewhere. I have not erased them, who knows what genius was burning there. A nice early copy in bright yellow boards with a cartoon on the cover in black. A different cartoon on the dustwrapper, which is almost complete but with some fraying on the edges. Some spotting on the edges of the pages, and more on the early pages. Good thick creamy paper. Price: 22.50 GBP
